Judge the Tree

Matthew 7:15-20
15"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

16"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?

17"So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.

18"A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

19"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20"So then, you will know them by their fruits.

Okay, so when I read this, I understand this: That you can tell if someone is a good or bad person by their actions. So it's ok to judge someone as a bad person if their actions are bad...when I say judge here, I probably mean "deduce" or "conclude".

That's what I believe too. We deduce and conclude that a Christian or non-Christian is good or bad. The standard we use should be Christ's, the NT. We should see that if we try to "not judge" it can go very badly for us since in the case of false prophets or teachers, there are aweful intentions of getting us to stray away from what God calls us to believe. Also, one of the most crucial things is the cutting down & burning of the bad tree. That is not my job and it is not your job. It is God's alone and we should feel sadness that someone is on the wrong path...the same/similar sadness (longsuffering) that God experiences. Many judge and execute and that is wrong. You can say that a certain behavior is wrong and that God tells you that that behavior once unrepented for, will lead you to hell, but you can't send someone there yourself.
