Romans 3

I've read chapter three (several times) and will comment more about it tomorrow.  I get so frustrated because I read and read and read and comprehend NOTHING!!!!!

you must understand something! Put yourself in place of the people Paul is writing to. Take Paul's position and understand what his task as an apostle entailed. He was the "to the Gentiles" apostle but yet dealt with Jews all the time since due to the increase of the Roman empire, they were doing business in all parts.

Read the tail end of chapter 2 (5 verses or so) and enter straight into ch 3. Do you see a continuation of ideas?

Remember that many times the bible is not telling you exactly what you need to do. It is giving you situations handled in the past from which you should glean direction. If you have quotations of scripture, read where it originated. Personalize this as much as you can.
